Desk 1.0.1

Keyboards grow up in this one: a Keys control now maps itself with a single press, names its keys, and can wear the rainbow.

  • One-press keyboard mapping — Learn the Keys container, press your keyboard's bottom key, and every key maps chromatically from it; no more learning key by key

  • Any bottom key works — a keyboard can start on any note, white or black, and Desk draws it honestly, keeping even the deep end's negative octaves true

  • Key Labels — engrave every key with the note it stands on, derived from the bottom key; a label you engrave yourself always speaks over the derivation

  • Rainbow Keys — light each key with its note's crayon, the same note wearing the same crayon on every keyboard, one octave's worth of twelve; a backlight you choose for a key always speaks over the rainbow, white included

  • Octave buttons on your hardware shift the notes it sends — your desk's mapping and on-screen keyboard stay exactly where you put them

Thanks for being an early adopter.
