The Mix Bus Plugin Manager 0.1.6
Release notes for The Mix Bus Plugin Manager 0.1.6.
The Mix Bus Plugin Manager 0.1.6
Windows joins the party — Plugin Manager now runs everywhere The Mix Bus ships.
-
Windows build, one file — Plugin Manager ships as a zip holding a single
Plugin Manager.exe: download it, open it, run it. No installer, and no VC++ redistributable to hunt down first — the runtime is built into the exe. -
Self-updating on Windows — like the macOS and Linux builds, Plugin Manager checks themixbus.com.au, downloads its own update, verifies the checksum and swaps itself in on relaunch, with a small PowerShell helper standing in for the swap script.
-
Correct plugin version detection — Windows VST3 bundles carry no Info.plist, so Plugin Manager now reads the VST3 manifest (moduleinfo.json) to see exactly which plugin version you have installed. No more phantom "update available" for a build you already own.
One note for this first Windows release: the executable is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may ask for confirmation the first time you run it — choose "More info", then "Run anyway". Code signing is on the roadmap.
Grab the zip, open it, and run — your Annolyzer license is waiting.
Welcome, Windows.
