Channel 1.0.2
A focused release adding MIDI input support and plugin parameter inspection — turn Channel into a quick test bench for instrument and MIDI-effect development.
Channel 1.0.2 - New
-
MIDI input: Channel receives MIDI events from connected devices and routes them to the loaded plugin — play and drive your instrument directly.
-
Settings window: Enable and choose your MIDI input device, and watch incoming events in a live MIDI log. Clock, active-sense, and other background traffic is filtered out, and endless-encoder turns are annotated with their direction (CW/CCW) so relative controls are easy to read at a glance. Your device choice is remembered between sessions.
-
Parameter HUD: A floating panel, available from the Window menu, lists every parameter of the loaded plugin with its live value — ideal for verifying automation and MIDI mappings as you work.
Channel 1.0.2 - Changed
-
Empty plugin-host pane now offers a quick "Add Bookmark" button, so you can jump straight to bookmarking a build folder on first run.
Channel 1.0.2 - What's Still Here
-
Bookmark your plugin build folders and load any discovered VST3 or AU straight into the detail view
-
Live rebuild watcher: recompile in your IDE and Channel reloads the plugin automatically
-
Channel strip with input device, output device, and master fader
-
Output-pair routing, so you can capture Channel's output on a specific interface pair (e.g. back into Logic Pro)
-
Automatic updates via Sparkle
Note: The loaded plugin receives all incoming MIDI messages; the Settings log is a passive view of the same stream.
