Monitor switch: The channel strip's Input group gains a Monitor toggle below Source. Flip it off to silence the input pair without touching your device or source selection — the Mute-like alternative to choosing None as your input device. MIDI keeps flowing and instruments keep rendering; flip it back on to resume monitoring with the exact same setup. Unmonitored windows step out of the summing guard's routes the same way a None window does, so turning Monitor off mid-overlap hands the route back cleanly.
