Channel 1.0.7

Release notes for Channel 1.0.7.

Channel 1.0.7

A workflow release: silencing an input no longer means re-choosing what your input is, and Channel now ships with its own help book.

Channel 1.0.7 - New

  • Monitor switch: The channel strip's Input group gains a Monitor toggle below Source. Flip it off to silence the input pair without touching your device or source selection — the Mute-like alternative to choosing None as your input device. MIDI keeps flowing and instruments keep rendering; flip it back on to resume monitoring with the exact same setup. Unmonitored windows step out of the summing guard's routes the same way a None window does, so turning Monitor off mid-overlap hands the route back cleanly.

  • Channel Help: A full Apple Help book built into the app — browse it from Help ▸ Channel Help, or search for any topic in Help Viewer. Getting started, live rebuild watching, Plugin Only mode, MIDI routing, the Parameters HUD, and troubleshooting are all covered.

Channel 1.0.7 - What's Still Here

  • Multiple windows, each hosting its own plugin with independent routing

  • Plugin Only mode: shrink any window to the plugin's exact size

  • MIDI input: play and drive your plugin from any connected MIDI device

  • Settings window with a live MIDI event log

  • Parameter HUD listing every parameter of the loaded plugin with live values

  • Bookmark your plugin build folders and load any discovered VST3 or AU straight into the detail view

  • Live rebuild watcher: recompile in your IDE and Channel reloads the plugin automatically — in every window that has it loaded

  • Channel strip with input device, output device, and master fader

  • Output-pair routing, so you can capture Channel's output on a specific interface pair (e.g. back into Logic Pro)

  • Automatic updates via Sparkle
